Right Way of doing Lying Leg Curls

Today we’re going to focus on one of the most popular Legs exercise - .

Lying Leg Curl exercises primarily the hamstrings. The hamstrings, located behind the thigh, are a group of 3 muscles that originate from the ischium bone of the pelvis. (See illustration below). The are biceps femoris (outer aspect of the thigh), semimembranosus (behind the inner aspect) and semitendinosus (behind the inner aspect of the thigh adjacent to semimembranosus).

Proper Execution:

1. Lie facedown on a leg curl machine with your ankles hooked behind the lifting pads and your knees just over the bench’s edge. Hold on to the machine’s handlebars for support.

2. Keeping your pelvis flush against the bench, slowly raise your heels toward your butt so that your legs bend to about a 90-degree angel.

3. Hold for a second, then slowly lower your heels to the starting position.

Note: Some leg curl machines are bent slightly at the end to relieve pressure from your pelvis. If yours is not, put a small pillow under your pelvis.

Proper form on doing Tricep Extensions

Tricep extensions also works your elbow extensors. Beware that overhead lifts could be dangerous especially if your weights are removable. Make sure the collars are tight and engage a spotter if you are using heavier weights.

Proper Execution:

1. Lie on your back on a bench with your head slightly over the end of the bench and your feet flat on the floor. Hold a barbell with your palms facing away and the weight resting on your palms. Extend your arms at about a 180-degree angle but not locked, the weight over the top of your head.

2. Keeping your upper arms stationary, slowly bend your elbows, lowering the weight until the bar is above your forehead. Hold for a second, then slowly return to the starting position.

It’s possible that male goo can lower blood pressure. Another recent study found that women who gave their men oral sex, and swallowed, had a lower risk of preeclampsia, the dangerously high blood pressure that sometimes accompanies pregnancy.

That’s one study I love to share with my girlfriend :)

Could there be a real study on this? It could be only a ploy to encourage more girls to swallow semen, which is really a good thing for us men. Ride on!

Dumbbell Shrugs or Barbell Shrugs are specifically targeting the . This muscles raises your shoulder, rotates our shoulder blades, and helps you turn your head. The trapezius extends out and down from the neck and down between the shoulder blades.

Shoulders are particularly prone to injuries during workouts. The most common reason is Poor technique. Many men have poor form when doing shoulder exercises, stretching muscle tissue too much in the process.

So we have here a demonstration of properly doing a Dumbbell Shoulder Shrugs from bodybuilder Frank Sepe.

This exercise also strengthens your , which lie between your spine and your shoulder blades.

1. Stand straight with your feet shoulder-width apart and your knees slightly bent. Hold a dumbbell on each hand, letting your arms hang along-side your body. Your palms should face your body. Make sure your shoulders are back and relaxed.

2. Slowly shrug your shoulders as high as they’ll go, keeping your head still and your chin slightly tucked. Hold for a second, squeeze at the top of the movement, then slowly return to the starting position. Don’t try to raise the weight by your arms, by bending your elbows during the shrugs; you should lift it using your trapezius muscles.

For many women, the correlation between sex and snoring is one of those annoying facts of life: no matter when passionate encounters occur, men always seem to fall asleep immediately afterwards. Although women sometimes feel sleepy after sex, the phenomenon does seem more pronounced in men. What is it, then, that spirals them into the land of nod?

Sexercise: 7 cardio positions

Sex is good exercise. This article describes seven fun positions and describes the workout benefits of each.

This looks interesting, putting a new dimension on woman on top position as a “squat above the man”, which works out the inner thigh and calf muscles.

Another one is the popular doggy position with variation, this time woman support her weight on her elbows, which the author says will work out her triceps.

Although sex is enjoyable way to sweat, I don’t buy the idea that it will workout the muscles as stated by the author. One caveat is “what if” the man prematurely ejaculates? Obviously it will be a very short workout :).
