Abs Fat is Dangerous!

Written by Nash Trout on Tuesday, January 22nd, 2008 in Lose Weight, Motivation, Exercise, Diet, Abs Workout.

I find this article very interesting from Mike Geary.

Excess Abdominal Fat is Not Only Ugly, but Extremely Dangerous to Your Health - This is More Than a Vanity Issue!
by Mike Geary, Certified Nutrition Specialist, Certified Personal Trainer

Did you know that the vast majority of people in this day and age have excess abdominal fat? The first thing that most people think of is that their extra abdominal fat is simply ugly, is covering up their abs from being visible, and makes them self conscious about showing off their body.

However, what most people don’t realize is that excess abdominal fat in particular, is not only ugly, but is also a dangerous risk factor to your health. Scientific research has clearly determined that although it is unhealthy in general to have excess body fat throughout your body, it is also particularly dangerous to have excess abdominal fat.

There are two types of fat that you have in your abdominal area. The first type that covers up your abs from being visible is called subcutaneous fat and lies directly beneath the skin and on top of the abdominal muscles.

The second type of fat that you have in your abdominal area is called visceral fat, and that lies deeper in the abdomen beneath your muscle and surrounding your organs. Visceral fat also plays a role in giving certain men that “beer belly” appearance where their abdomen protrudes excessively but at the same time, also feels sort of hard if you push on it.

Both subcutaneous fat and visceral fat in the abdominal area are serious health risk factors, but science has shown that having excessive visceral fat is even more dangerous than subcutaneous fat. Both of them greatly increase the risk your risk of developing heart disease, diabetes, high blood pressure, stroke, sleep apnea, various forms of cancer, and other degenerative diseases.

Part of the reason visceral fat is particularly dangerous is that it apparently releases more inflammatory molecules into your system on a consistent basis.

If you care about the quality of your life and your loved ones, reducing your abdominal fat should be one of your TOP priorities! There’s just no way around it. Besides, a side effect of finally getting rid of all of that excessive ugly abdominal fat is that your stomach will flatten out, and if you lose enough stomach fat, you will be able to visibly see those sexy six pack abs that everyone wants.

So what gets rid of extra abdominal fat? Is there actually a REAL solution beyond all of the gimmicks and hype that you see in ads and on commercials for “miracle” fat loss products?

The first thing you must understand is that there is absolutely NO quick fix solution. There are no pills or supplements of any sort that will help you lose your abdominal fat faster. Also, none of the gimmicky ab rockers, rollers, or ab belts will help get rid of abdominal fat either. You can’t spot reduce your stomach fat by using any of these worthless contraptions. It simply doesn’t work that way.

The only solution to consistently lose your abdominal fat and keep it off for good is to combine a sound nutritious diet full of unprocessed natural foods with a properly designed strategic exercise program that stimulates the necessary hormonal and metabolic response within your body. Both your food intake as well as your training program are important if you are to get this right.

I’ve actually even seen a particular study that divided thousands of participants into a diet-only group and an exercise & diet combined group. While both groups in this study made good progress, the diet-only group lost significantly LESS abdominal fat than the diet & exercise combined group.

Now the important thing to realize is that just any old exercise program will not necessarily do the trick. The majority of people that attempt getting into a good exercise routine are NOT working out effectively enough to really stimulate the loss of stubborn abdominal fat. I see this everyday at the gym.

Most people will do your typical boring ineffective cardio routines, throw in a little outdated body-part style weight training, and pump away with some crunches and side bends, and think that they are doing something useful for reducing their abdominal fat. Then they become frustrated after weeks or months of no results and wonder where they went wrong.

Well, the good news is that I’ve spent over a decade researching this topic, analyzing the science, and applying it “in the trenches” with myself as well as thousands of my clients from all over the world to see what works to really stimulate abdominal fat loss.

The entire solution… all of the nutritional strategies, as well as training sequences, exercise combinations, and more have all been compiled in my Truth About Six Pack Abs Program.

Keep in mind that the point of this whole program is NOT abdominal exercises (that is only a very small portion of it). The main point of this program is showing you the absolute most effective strategies for losing your stubborn abdominal fat, so you can get rid of that dangerous health risk, as well as get a flatter more defined midsection.

If you follow the guidelines, you WILL lose your belly fat that has been plaguing you for years. This is not guesswork… it is a proven system that works time and time again for all of my clients on every corner of the globe that actually apply these strategies. If you apply it, the results will come. It’s really that simple.

The only reason most people fail in their fitness goals is that they have good intentions at first to adopt a new lifestyle, yet after a few weeks or months, they abandon their good intentions and slip right back into their old bad habits that gave them the excess body fat in the first place.

Don’t waste another day allowing that nasty abdominal fat to kill your confidence as well as contribute to your risk for MAJOR diseases.

Obesity and Infertility Link

Written by Nash Trout on Friday, April 27th, 2007 in Lose Weight, Motivation, Sex Enhancement, Exercise, Health News.

Obesity and InfertilityStruggling to have your first baby? One of the reason could be obesity of the woman, according to infertily specialist, Laurence A. Jacobs, MD. He had developed a special program for fitness and fertility for those women who are fighting both obesity and infertility.

“In overweight women with excessive adipose tissue, abnormal pituitary hormone secretions are common, leading to a lack of proper ovulation. Obesity is strongly related to Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS). Overweight woman are also particularly susceptible to Diabetes and Insulin resistance. Even with the use of fertility medications or IVF treatments, pregnancy rates are adversely affected by obesity. Many studies have shown that in obese women, especially those with PCOS, a 5-10% weight loss often results in resumption of ovulation and higher pregnancy rates with all fertility treatments.”

The special program has the right ingredients for success of losing weight: involving in a fitness program, utilizing good nutrition, having a support group and working with a specialist. The program also includes reducing stress, keeping a food diary, and incorporating other holistic methods to lose weight. What is encouraging here is the program’s involvement too of the husbands to encourage their wives and lose weight too.

Even at Death, Obesity is a Problem

Written by Nash Trout on Monday, April 23rd, 2007 in Men's Fitness, Lose Weight, Health News.

What can be more pathetic than knowing that even at death, obesity can be a problem? This is what crematoriums in UK have been experiencing, since wider bodies could not fit “standard” furnaces and they have to be shipped out to other crematoriums that could accommodate them. Chilling news about obesity, right?

Standard coffins range from 16 to 20 inches. However, increasingly coffins anywhere up to 40 inches are being ordered to fit larger bodies. Around 430,000 choose to be cremated in Britain each year.

Now this is not to frighten overweight people, but I thought sharing this would somehow put a “negative” motivation to exercise and keep fit. I was motivated then to lose weight because of impending health problem - hypertension - before I started to exercise. I am now enjoying good health since I overcame hypertension by regular exercise. Could Weight Loss Be EffortLess?

Written by Nash Trout on Saturday, April 21st, 2007 in Lose Weight, Exercise, Diet.

This is a question most overweight persons have in common. I have been overweight then and I too had tried to find ways how to lose weight without any effort, without any exercise. I tried some diet pills out there, but you know what? They never worked. Sadly that’s the truth.

But sadly too, most are still looking for ways to do it without effort of exercising, as evidenced from increased Market for Weight Loss Products in 2007. Most will still patronize rip-off weight loss companies, as they are desperate in their search for the magic pill or fad diet that will help them lose weight.

What I am concerned about is that the marketers of these fad diets never emphasize enough for buyers to have a regular physical exercise. “Lose 10 lbs. in 3 days” just by drinking this, or by following this diet–these are all common. But no mention or very little information are given about the necessary exercise that should go with it. People are given false hopes on losing weight.

Ever wonder why more and more people are getting obese? It is because they are given wrong information or misled on how to effectively and permanently lose weight. Losing weight or losing fat means having a calorie deficit by doing regular physical exercise and having a nutritional diet. It is not effortless! Feel free to browse more information about this here. Be motivated on doing physical exercise and lose weight or fat permanently!

Dieting without exercise will not work

Written by Nash Trout on Wednesday, April 11th, 2007 in Lose Weight, Motivation, Exercise.

Again, a proof that Dieting will not work, without the exercise.

Dieting does not work, researchers report from PhysOrg.com
Will you lose weight and keep it off if you diet? No, probably not, UCLA researchers report in the April issue of American Psychologist, the journal of the American Psychological Association.

Permanent weight loss will happen ONLY when there is calorie deficit. Calorie intake (food) must be equal or less than calorie output (physical exercise). Simple math.

Too Lazy to Exercise?

Written by Nash Trout on Wednesday, April 11th, 2007 in Lose Weight, Motivation.

Yeah, we always find ourselves drifting away from our workout plan. We miss a day or two, then we miss the whole week! What can be done to always motivate ourselves to exercise? For me I always remind myself of all the benefits: great abs, muscles, and muscles :) Of course, good health and strength are our main motivation.

But if you sort of feel like exercising but could just as easily talk yourself out of it, or you just say “later today” or “tomorrow”, there are ways to push you in the right direction.

Here are some ways:

1. Put your exercise equipment or your exercise gear near your bed at night so that it’s the first thing you see in the morning.

2. Keep your workout shoes in your car or office so that you can’t say “I don’t have them with me” when a workout opportunity arises.

3. After work, take routes past gym, not your favorite pub or shopping mall.

4. Put exercise signs or cartoons on the doors of your house, office, car, and refrigerator.

5. Shame yourself into starting and reward yourself for finishing.

6. Get your spouse to nag you whenever you miss a workout.

7. Post a picture of your ‘dream’ body in front of your bed as a motivation.

It is Hard to Lose Weight

Written by Nash Trout on Saturday, March 17th, 2007 in Lose Weight, Motivation.

If this is what you’re experiencing now, you are correct. It is true; it is hard to lose weight. Every one trying to lose weight has one way or another experienced difficulty. There is difficulty in exercising and keeping a nutritional diet.

Don’t believe people telling you otherwise, that it is easy. Don’t believe it is easy if you buy this diet pill, or this fat burner supplement, and you will lose weight. No, what you will lose instead is your money, and the end result is you still have the flab on your tummy.

Weight losers have this determination, even though faced with difficulty, still go heads on with it. They don’t give up easily. They have ingrained the determination in them that they truly enjoy what their doing and it became their lifestyle. So what was before a difficult task to lose weight became an enjoyable hobby and sometimes it gives them their source of income.

True, exercising is exhaustive; at times giving you body aches. But don’t let the body aches stop you, that means your exercise is doing its work, the muscles are worn and torn and getting leaner with the fats getting burned. In your workout plan, you can always allow a day or two of rest day, to give your body time to recover. What is amazing is that after your muscles recover, you will feel stronger and beefed up to exercise again next time on your workout schedule. Your body metabolism increased and you’re ready again to burn fat on your next exercise.

So don’t give up. Though it’s hard, the rewards of achieving your fitness goal will be great.
